京都を拠点に制作する陶芸家・村田匠也は、幼少期より陶芸の環境で育ち、京焼における造形や線、仕上げに対する感覚を自然と身につけてきた。代々陶業に携わる家系に生まれ、確かな技術の蓄積の中で、継承と同時に自らの立ち位置を意識するようになる。

村田さんの茶器は、素直で静かな佇まいをもつ。澄んだ釉調、無理のない器形、迷いのない線。“やぶれ”シリーズでは、ろくろの過程で生じる揺らぎや偶然を受け止め、土の厚みや重力の動きに形を委ねることで、静けさの中に緊張感を孕んだ造形が立ち現れている。

Kyoto-based ceramic artist Takumiya Murata grew up surrounded by pottery, developing an intuitive understanding of the Kyo-yaki tradition’s attention to form, line, and finish. Coming from a family of ceramicists, he built a strong technical foundation while early on confronting the question of how to find his own place within that lineage.

Murata san’s tea wares have a quiet, natural presence. Clear glazes, balanced forms, and confident lines define the work. In the Yabure series, Murata embraces wobble and chance arising from the wheel-throwing process, allowing variations in clay thickness and the pull of gravity to shape each form. Through this approach, a subtle tension emerges within an overall sense of stillness.

来自京都的陶艺家村田匠也，自幼便在陶艺的环境中长大，对京烧体系中关于造形、线条与完成度的严格要求十分熟悉。家族代代从事陶业，这样的背景一方面为他奠定了扎实的技术基础，也让他很早就意识到如何在继承之中，找到属于自己的位置。

村田的茶器作品自然而洗练。澄净的釉色、克制的器形，安静而精准的线条。这个“破れ”系列有意保留晃动与偶然，让土的厚薄、重力与变化自然介入造形，使作品在克制与张力之间，形成一种微妙而平衡的状态。
