愛知県岡崎市を拠点とする陶芸家・田村文宏は、猿投や古瀬戸の影響を受け、古典的な佇まいを感じさせる作品を生み出してきました。ホンジュラス共和国やカンボジアなど、海外での窯業指導の経験は、東洋陶磁の美意識や素材感をあらためて再認識する契機ともなっています。

“私は、日本や中国、東南アジアで中世につくられた焼物に興味を持ち器を中心に制作しています。その上で、器の延長として茶道具を作り始めました。茶道具には小さなアイテムも多く、小さな作品の中に自分の思いを内包する感じが好きです。”

Fumihiro Tamura is a ceramic artist based in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture. Drawing inspiration from the traditions of Sanage and Old Seto ware, he creates works that carry a quiet, classical presence. His experience teaching ceramics abroad—in places such as Honduras and Cambodia—has prompted a renewed appreciation for the aesthetic sensibilities and material qualities of East Asian ceramics.

2004年愛知県瀬戸窯業高等学校陶芸専攻科卒業
2005年・2006年　ホンジュラス共和国にて窯業指導

現在、愛知県岡崎市で制作

Born in 1978 in Aichi, Japan
Graduated in 2004 from the Ceramics Program at Aichi Prefectural Seto Pottery High School
Provided ceramics instruction in Honduras in 2005 and 2006.
