滋賀県甲賀市で陶磁器を制作する松本郁美さんの作品は、シルクロードの仏教文化や中央アジア、敦煌の石窟壁画に長年心を寄せてきた影響を感じさせます。彼女は色絵顔料やさまざまな土を用いて陶磁器を作り上げています。
今年3月、松本さんは特別にシルクロード沿いと敦煌を訪れ、莫高窟の仏教壁画を鑑賞し、西域の広大な砂漠の風景の中で古の響きを静かに感じました。花や鳥、天馬、麒麟などのモチーフは、新作の中国茶道具にそっと取り入れられています。
Ikumi Matsumoto is a Shiga-based ceramic artist whose work is deeply influenced by Silk Road Buddhist culture and the cave paintings of Central Asia and Dunhuang. She creates her ceramics and porcelain using colored pigments and carefully selected clays. These are new works she created after her trip to Dunhuang in March, with motifs of flowers, birds, heavenly horses, and qilin woven into her teaware.

2008年 京都府立陶工高等技術専門校成形科卒業

2018年 滋賀県にて窯を構え、作陶されています
