Cizhou kilns emerged in the Northern Song, reached their peak during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and were mainly located in the Cizhou area of Hebei Province.
They primarily produced everyday items for common people, with diverse and rich decorations, simple forms, and lively patterns. Combining practicality with a strong sense of folk aesthetics, Cizhou kilns are one of the most important representatives of Chinese folk ceramics.
